PECI celebrates raising $40,855.84 for community causes

Prince Edward Collegiate Institute students and staff celebrated the raising of $40,855.84 over the 2012-2013 school year. Money was raised through the annual fashion show, head shaving, T-shirt sales, bottle drive, bracelet sales, The BET student play, personal donations and the Grade 10 Business Class “Apprentice” (Sarah Reddick) Kicks Against Cancer, staff-student baseball game, Cake Boss Challenge, staff and student team canvasing, canteen sales (Relay for Life)
for the following causes:
Terry Fox (Terry Fox Foundation)
Decathlon (Camp Trillium)
Hoops for Heart (Heart and Stroke Foundation)
Christmas Auction and Talent Show (Salvation Army)
Pedal for Hope (Canadian Cancer Society – Paediatric Cancer)
Make Poverty History
Carnation Sales (MS Society of Canada)
We Create Change (Free The Children)
Not included in the financial total: are the 33 angels looked after with the CAS Angel Christmas Campaign and the 17 emergency care kits purchased for Alternatives for Women.
