PECI invites you to support Marathon of Hope

It was well before our time but our parents will tell us that when Terry Fox ran the first Marathon of Hope in 1980, no one could possibly have known the effect his effort would have on Canadians of all ages.
Since 1981 hundreds of millions of dollars have been raised for cancer research but more than that, millions upon millions of people have been inspired by his courage to have hope and never give up their dreams.
That is where our age group comes in. Not only do students at PECI raise thousands of dollars for the annual Relay for Life, we also raise funds for the annual Terry Fox Run.
This year, during our October Terry Fox Run, PECI is aiming to raise 10,000 dollars! That’s approximately $13.33 a person, but with the help of the community, we can make that 10,000 dollar mark.
It is a worthy cause and personally, I could go without those new shoes or a Friday night movie and donate the money instead. Can you? Will you?
