Picton construction worker wins $100,000

Larry Young, of Picton, plans to pay off his mortgage and retire after winning $100,000 with ENCORE on the June 15 LOTTARIO draw.

Larry matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order to win the $100,000 prize.

“It’s my first time winning big,” said Young, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

The 61-year old construction worker found out about his win while checking his ticket at Scott’s Store where he purchased the ticket, and visits weekly.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I can’t explain this feeling – it’s very exciting!”

ENCORE can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.
