Picton Kiwanis proud to support community

The Kiwanis Club of Picton has been active since 1927 (except for a time between World War II and 1953).
Inwardly, it offers its members personal growth through involvement and teamwork, plus the benefits of many strong friendships. Outwardly, it delivers an extensive program of civic and benevolent services. It’s an outstanding example of comradeship and voluntarism in action.
The club membership reflects a wide range of occupations and age groups. It offers new members an opportunity to become personally acquainted with people of good standing in many career areas and with varied backgrounds and experiences.

Meetings are every Monday at 6.15 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion BR 78, 347 Main St., Picton

Being a member:

Weekly meetings consist of dinner, a program with speaker and brief business proceedings. All dinners include fresh food with the bonus of excellent fellowship. The dinner cost is $14 and includes tax and tip.
Program topics vary, but most are designed to expose members to new ideas, local issues and fresh perspectives on our community.
Membership in our club begins with an invitation to be a guest at one of our meetings. Ask any member of the Picton Kiwanis Club; they will be glad to answer your questions and arrange for you to attend a meeting.
Since the money earned through fund raising projects is used mostly for local good works, our members underwrite the administrative expenses of the club. Currently dues are $125. annually directed toward International and District dues and club administrative costs.
For membership information please contact: Herb Stone, Club Secretary at 613-476-3359 or email:  s.stone@sympatico.ca
