Picton Pirates hockey club hires new GM

The Picton Pirates Junior Hockey Club has hired Lucas Hulton as the organization’s new general manager for the franchise.

For the past year, Hulton has served as a scout and analyst with Top Draft Hockey Advisory, specializing in player recruitment, identification, and long-term development projection.

Beyond scouting, he is the active Director of Business & Hockey Operations for Hulton Hockey, the family-run company known for hosting premier junior skates and development sessions in the Kingston area.

The son of Jim Hulton—Kingston Sports Hall of Fame inductee, long-time major junior head coach, and former NHL staff member, Lucas has grown up learning the game from the inside-out. He spent more than three years working at the historic Andrews Hockey School in Prince Edward Island, further expanding his experience in player development and elite training environments.

“I’m excited to join such a storied franchise and can’t wait to work with Head Coach Rick Van Vlack and Chris Rice to build a winning foundation in Picton. We have a great group of core guys that I’m eager to build around for next season and beyond.” Hulton said.
