During Thursday night’s 7-4 win over the Campbellford Rebels, Pirates 3rd year forward Jack Davison reached the 100-point milestone on a first period goal assisted by Ryan Sizer and goaltender Matt Kaludis.
Off to a rampant start, Davison has compiled five goals and 15 assists for 20 points throughout the first 10 games of the season and sits second behind teammate Ryan Sizer (21pts) in the Empire B Jr. C Hockey League scoring race.
The Picton Pirates (6-4-0) have averaged 5.8 goals per game while allowing just 3.3 goals per game against to start the season.
“I think as a team we have been able to generate a lot of offense,” said Pirates GM/Head Coach Ryan Woodward. “Everyone is chipping in and different players are capable of stepping up each night.
“I could care less who scores the goals or gets the points, I want this group focused on competing for 60 minutes and committed to playing team defense. If they are willing to pay the price defensively, they will be rewarded at the other end of the ice.” Woodward said.
Veteran forwards Ryan Sizer (92 career points) and Captain Mitch Rosborough (92 career points) are both just 8 points away from joining Davison in the Pirates 100 Point Club.
Picton has the weekend off and returns to action Thursday, Oct. 27th at home vs. the Amherstview Jets at 7:30pm.
