Prince Edward County OPP officers are investigating break-ins over the past two days at a Picton business and a residence.
On Tuesday, Aug. 16 officers were called to The Source electronics store, at the 97 Main Street Picton plaza.
At approximately 3a.m., two unknown persons attempted to break into the store by using an implement to smash the door. They were unable to gain entry to the business, so nothing was reported taken. A damage estimate is unknown. The OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) was requested to assist in the investigation.
Wednesday, Aug. 18 officers attended a call reporting a break-in at a Richmond Street residence.
Sometime between 5pm Aug. 15th and 10pm Aug. 17th, two flat screen televisions and a quantity of cash were reported stolen.
Police seek the assistance of the public in both these cases. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Prince Edward County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
