Quaker brand bars and cereals recalled

Quaker brand bars and cereals have been recalled all across Canada due to possible salmonella contamination. There was also a recall Thursday int he United States by the Quaker Oats Company.
Thirty-eight products are involved, including Treat Bars – Berry Bar; several Harvest Crunch granola cereals, chewy and dipped granola bars as well as yogurt bars.
Consumers are being told not to consume the products. Click here to see the list of bars, sizes, UPC codes and best before dates affected.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency states food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
