The Queen’s University Barefoot Players presented adaptations of French Canadian Folk Tales in the Toques & Tales show Saturday, at the Picton Branch Public Library.
The players took their audience on a storytelling portage with flying canoes, heaps of poutine, singing about Big Joe Mufferaw, a folk hero from the Ottawa Valley, and dancing to the tune of “Ah! Si Mon Moine Voulait Danser”.
The cast includes, Lizzie, Blair, Sarah, Julia, Evan and Maddy – members of Queen’s School of Drama and Music’s theatre troup for young audiences.
Drop by any branch of the library to pick up a Summer Reading Club brochure to see all the events listed for the summer.
