Recreation facilities and town halls closed

In response to rising COVID-19 cases the County is closing all indoor recreation facilities and town halls effective Tuesday, Dec. 21. The municipality will re-evaluate the closures and provide an update to the public early in January 2022.

The Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street) will remain open for vaccine clinics and COVID-19 testing. Vaccine appointments must be booked in advance through the Ontario’s booking portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900.

The COVID-19 assessment centre operates Monday to Friday, 1-4 pm. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 613.813.6864. On Saturday and Sunday, messages may be left to arrange an appointment the following week. Those requiring weekend testing may call 613.961.5544 or go online to arrange testing at the Belleville and Trenton assessment centres.

Municipal offices at the Edward Building and the Picton fire station (8 McDonald Drive) will remain open to the public with reduced hours.

In-person book browsing and computer use is still available at the Prince Edward County Public Library. Curbside service is also available at all branches. Visit the Library website for more information.
