Repair to water main in Wellington

The County’s Water and Wastewater Department will be repairing a water main break on Main Street Wellington between Belleville Street and Conley Road Thursday. Expected completion by 5 p.m.
Main Street between the intersection of Belleville Street to Conley Road may be reduced to one lane for the duration of repairs. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
Residents connected to municipal water in this area will experience reduced water pressure on Feb. 10, 2021 overnight until repairs begin.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, while repairs are under way, affected residents may experience water pressure fluctuations, a brief interruption to service, or coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water and air in plumbing is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
