Road resurfacing projects to begin June 1

County staff and contractors are to begin road resurfacing work on Monday, June 1.

Pulverizing of the existing hardtop surface on several area roads is expected over the next 10 days. The work may cause minor traffic delays and create noise and dust.

Following pulverizing, work is to continue on the roads in preparation for the double surface treatment process this summer.

Areas affected by the work include:
– County Road 13 (Little Bluff Conservation Area entrance to Gravelly Bay Road)
– North Marysburgh Court (entire road)
– Kingsley Road (Old Milford Road to County Road 22)
– Elmbrook Road (County Road 5 to Bethesda Road)
– Bethesda Road (east of Fry Road to north of MacHills Road)
– Melville Road (County Road 2 to Adams Lane)
– Lakeside Drive (Carnrike Road to County Road 33)
– Closson Road (Danforth Road to County Road 2)
– Conley Road (Gilead Road to County Road 33)

Traffic delays can be expected on County Road 3 as construction continues from 200m east of Rednersville to 900m west of Rednersville through to October 2020.

One lane of traffic will be maintained during construction at all times.

The municipality has contracted Dekeyser Excavating to reconstruct the road and drainage improvements including cross-culvert replacements, curb and gutter and storm sewer through the Hamlet of Rednersville, and a storm outlet to the Bay of Quinte.
