Roads closed off for long boarders event

Motorists are advised of temporary road closures to facilitate longboard racers from Canada and the USA participating in a ‘Race for Pictonia’ event.
Closures continue Saturday Oct. 17 and Sunday Oct. 18 from 9:30am – 5 pm.
Streets/intersections affected are: Richmond Street, Thomas Street, Cumberland Street, Nicholas Street, Church Street, County Road 22, York Street, Elks Street and Pitt Street.
Motorists requiring access to the abovementioned streets may be have to wait approximately five minutes while races are taking place, after which they will be guided through the intersections.
Marked detours are available by travelling left on County Road 22 at McAuley Village and taking County Road 10 into Picton.
