Rosborough joins Pirates’ 100-point club

Picton Pirates’ Captain Mitch Rosborough reached the 100 point milestone on an unassisted shorthanded goal in the first period in the Pirates 6-2 road win versus the Amherstview Jets last Sunday.
Rosborough is the second Pirate player to join the 100 point club this season, doing so in only 81 career regular season games.
Mitch began his junior career with the Pirates as a 16-year-old in 2007-2008 and recorded 14 goals and 25 assists for 39pts.  After spending two and half seasons playing Tier II Jr. A for the Wellington Dukes, he returned to the Pirates organization last season and registered 18 goals and 20 assists in only 29 games.  This season Rosborough has got off to a scorching start with 13 goals and 11 assists in his first 14 games.
“Mitch comes to the rink ready to play hard each and every night,” said Pirates GM/Head Coach Ryan Woodward. “He takes pride in his work ethic and leads by example.”
The first place Pirates (12-4) have followed their captain’s lead so far this season and are currently riding a seven-game win streak and have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Picton is back in action Tuesday Nov. 15th when they visit the Napanee Raiders at 7:30pm and host the Amherstview Jets Thursday, Nov. 17th at 7:30 at the Prince Edward Community Centre.
