More than 100 people attended the Nov. 29th Christmas edition of the Salvation Army Loaves and Fishes Dinner prepared and served by the Rotary Club of Picton.
“Loaves and Fishes” takes its inspiration from the Bible’s account of Jesus feeding 5,000 in the gospels with a community meal. It was a reminder of the connection between the economy of the town nd the fishing industry.
Today it involves families, local business people and community groups and volunteer organizations.
