Picton Rotary Club members hosted a luncheon with their partners in literacy, and supported local food banks, at their meeting this week.
Teacher Kaleena Hanoski, from Quinte Mohawk School in Tyendinaga, brought a number of her students to the luncheon to meet with club members, many of which took part over the year in a reading program with the children.
On behalf of the club, president Bob Bird, and Larry Richardson presented $1,500 to the Picton United Church County Food Bank representative Ellen Brownbill.
With Richardson, past president Paul Massey, of Tim Hortons, also presented a $2,500 donation to Brownbill.
