Fresh from delighting local seniors by performing at local nursing homes, Brenda Cunningham’s County School of Dance students will present “The First Christmas” recital at The Regent Theatre, Sunday Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.
Part one will feature award-winning dances performed by students from the County School of Dance and Cunningham’s Huntsville School of Ballet (ballet, jazz, modern and Irish dance).
Part two will feature The Nativity Story told through the medium of ballet, drama and gospels narration. Students from both schools will collaborate in an entertaining, family-oriented production which doubles as a fundraiser for World Vision Canada and the food bank. Donations of non-perishable items welcome at the door.
Tickets $15 at the door, or available at the County School of Dance, 311 Main St., Picton (rear entrance) on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 4:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Give the gift of dance to your child or grandchild this Christmas. Classes in ballet, jazz, irish and ladies’ flamenco. For details about the school and about this show, call 476-3256.
