Section of Millennium Trail closure extended to Dec. 12

The closure of the Millennium Trail from McFarland Drive to Leo Finnigan Drive in Picton will be extended to Dec. 12.
The extended closure is due to the contractor encountering bedrock during the excavation to install the new watermain. The watermain is part of the planned upgrades to the municipal water distribution system identified in the Master Servicing Class Environmental Assessment for Picton East.
The project will be monitored by County staff to ensure there will be no adverse impact on the natural environment as a result of the construction.
