County musicians struck an uplifting chord with Hospice Prince Edward Wednesday afternoon, presenting almost $5,000 raised last month at a Dance Night event at Waring Hall.
Waring House proprietors Norah and Chris Rogers sponsored the event, in honour of 22-year employee, Henriette Labelle Campbell who passed in the loving care of Hospice Prince Edward in December.
Local musicians – including Instant Rivalry, The Fade Kings, The Shadowz, Déjà vu, Ian Roy, The Reasons and The Reasonettes, donated their time, in memory of their friends and family members, Tony Martin and Michael Rea who also passed at the residential hospice, on Downes Ave., in Picton.
A sellout crowd enjoyed an evening of music and dancing, and the success of the evening promises a repeat fundraiser could be in the works for next year.
