Special vaccine clinic Jan. 8 in PEC for front-line businesses

A special clinic focused on first, second and booster vaccinations for staff working in front line businesses – grocery stores, retail, restaurants, and so on – is set for Saturday, Jan. 8 from 3 p.m to 9 p.m. at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street, Picton).
Businesses (not individuals) are required to register in advance to secure a time slot by calling 613.476.2148 extension 5003 or 5004 beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 4 when Prince Edward County municipal offices reopen.
The business owner should be prepared to give the names of the staff who wish to attend the clinic and to highlight any staff who are under the age of 30 for the purposes of managing vaccine supply. People under the age of 30 will be offered the Pfizer vaccine. For people 30 and over, Moderna or Pfizer will be offered depending on the supply that day.
The clinic, is hosted by the County of Prince Edward in partnership with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health and the Prince Edward Family Health Team.
