Sun sets on beautiful day of family time at Sandbanks

Several families enjoyed sunset at Sandbanks Provincial Park Sunday with a walk along the beach and along the trails.
A mix of sun and cloud is expected for Family Day on Monday with periods of rain beginning about noon and fog patches developing in the afternoon – with a high of 6. Between 15-25mm rain expected Monday night.
Family Day events in the County include fun at the Wellington arena from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – starting with a pancake breakfast and continuing with a scavenger hunt and trail walk, games and activities, photographs with the Wellington Dukes; family book camp fitness, fire prevention activities and a free soup lunch. Public skating open all day.
Families are invited to Winterfest fun at Sandbanks’ Maple Rest Lodge 2086 Cty Rd 12 for outdoor games (weather permitting) and hot chocolate from noon to 4 p.m.
Flashback February celebration of County Heritage Week continues with history, legends and music (for children and adults) with Suzanne Pasternak being held at Macaulay Heritage Park Church, Picton. 1:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults; $2 for children.
