Sun shone on most of Picton’s annual fair

The sun shone on Picton’s Fair for the most part on the weekend though Saturday night’s intense thunderstorms drowned out the evening’s events.

Entertainer Andy Forgie sang for the crowd as last-minute registrations were under way, in the curling club, then welcomed competitors to the stage.

Judging was a tough job for Carol Baker and Pam Smith.

“I don’t know how we’re going to make decisions,” said Baker. “They’re all cute,” she said, looking over the contestants in the room. “Yes, I’m a little bit terrified over making choices,” added Smith.

Winners of all categories await the top-three results.
