Sustainable Living Symposium planning begins

The planning for the Spring 2011 Sustainable Living Symposium event has begun. If you have any comments or suggestions for the planning committee please feel free to send them to mnavrot@quinteconservation.ca

Once again Loyalist College students have produced some excellent videos highlighting a number of homes from the 2010 Green Homes Tour as part of the annual symposium. These videos can be viewed at http://www.quintesustainability.ca/greenhomes/green-homes-video-tours

September 21- 7:00 to 9:00 pm   HPELT featuring Land Conservation and funding options for landowners: September 21: 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Preserving our Natural Features Hosted by Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust (HPELT): Mark Stabb from the Nature Conservancy of Canada will focus his presentation on Conservation easements, ecogifts and other conservation options and funding opportunities for landowners. Bridge Street United Church at 60 Bridge Street east, Belleville

October 5: 7:00 to 8:30 pm Bats of Ontario; White Nose Syndrome (WNS) White Nose Syndrome (WNS): Amy Cameron MNR ecologist will speak about various bat species in Ontario and how white nose syndrome is affecting bat populations. A limited number of bat houses will be available. Location: Thurlow Hall 516 Harmony Road
