Two-ferry Glenora service restored – only til after Labour Day

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has advised the public that the Glenora Ferry service has resumed operating with two ferries.
The service had been operating on a one ferry, 30 minute schedule since Aug. 4 due to mechanical issues.
The Glenora Ferry is returning to its winter schedule after the Labour Day long weekend.
The early return of the winter schedule is required to accommodate the Wolfe Islander III moving into dry-dock for maintenance this fall.
With the Wolfe Islander III in dry-dock, the Frontenac II (Amherst Island) will move to Wolfe Island. The MV Quinte Loyalist will move to Amherst Island to replace the Frontenac II.
MTO has not finalized the exact date when the winter schedule will resume.
