Water interruption Thursday along Loyalist Parkway
Administrator | Sep 12, 2017 | Comments 0
The County will be working with Morven Construction Ltd. to carry out planned improvements to the water distribution system along the Loyalist Parkway, just north of Cold Storage Road in Picton, Thursday, Sept. 14.
Planned distribution system upgrades resulting in water service interruption will begin at approximately 9 am with an expected completion time of 3 pm the same day.
Customers in the affected area are encouraged to store some potable drinking water for use during the interruption. Residents directly affected by the interruption will receive a hand-delivered notice.
The work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area will experience intermittent interruptions to water service between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm, and may experience coloured water when water service is restored.
To address pressure loss and the potential of coloured water, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete and regular water service is restored.
If you require assistance or have any questions regarding the disruption of service, contact Morven Construction at 613.354.9768. For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023 or info@pecounty.on.ca.
