Water main repairs on Hwy 49; sidewalk repairs on Main and Lake streets

The County is working on emergency repairs as a result of a water main leak on County Road 49 between Edgecliffe
Crescent and McFarland Memorial Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Repairs began at approximately 1:30pm, with an expected completion time of about 6pm.
County Road 49 will remain open throughout the duration of the repair with intermittent traffic disruptions between Edgecliffe Crescent and McFarland Memorial Home. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
McInroy-Maines Construction Ltd. will be conducting minor sidewalk repairs and paving at the intersection of Picton Main St. and Lake St. Heavy equipment will be required during construction and traffic lanes will be shifted around the site.
Construction started Wednesday, June 8, 2016 and expected to be completed by Thursday. Construction will take place 7am – 7pm each day.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and minor traffic delays are to be expected on Picton Main Street and Lake Street while construction takes place.
Construction staff will be available to assist any pedestrians on Main Street and Lake Street.
