Watermain break on Wellington Main

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct emergency repairs as a result of a watermain break on Wellington Main Street between Wharf and West streets.
Repairs are expected to be complete by 5 pm. Wellington Main Street from the intersection of Wharf Street to the intersection of West Street will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
