Repairs began at about 9am, with an expected completion time of 3p.m.

Narrow Street will be closed at Main Street for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.

The repairs are not expected to affect water quality; however residents living in the area may experience a partial or complete loss of pressure and coloured water. To address, customers are to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once regular service is restored.

  1. Dennis Fox says:

There have been several water main breaks over this winter – Ena St now, but there have been two at least on Paul St. as well. Does anyone know how old the infrastructure is in downtown and when was the last time it was upgraded? This will become a major factor in the buying and selling of houses, if this trend continues. Let’s hope this is not the case.

To the Town of Picton: Do we not matter on west Main Stree. How did it happened that we did not get our sidewalks done. Some of us do not have vehicles and we can not walk downstreet with snow piled high sidewalks. Not the first time this has happened. We pay taxes just like everyone else. Picton needs to sharpen up their cleaning of snow. Not acceptable. Where are our Councilors when we need them to see what goes on in Picton and especially on our Main St.

    Shameful!
