Watermain repairs on Wellington Main continuing tonight

The Water and Wastewater Department is conducting emergency repairs as a result of a water main leak on Wellington Main Street.
(UPDATED) Emergency repairs are expected to be complete late tonight. The eastbound lane heading out of the Village of Wellington toward Bloomfield is reduced to one lane. Traffic control is in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
