Wellington Beach unsafe for swimming

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) has posted Wellington Beach as unsafe for swimming due to E. coli bacteria levels.
HPEPH monitors bathing beach water quality at designated public beaches within its jurisdiction. Bathing beach water quality is monitored by the collection and analyses of water samples. Samples are analyzed at a public health laboratory for the presence of E.coli bacteria. When E. coli bacteria levels exceed the provincial standard, the bathing beach is considered unsafe for swimming, and a warning is issued by HPEPH.
It also posted Frankford beach on the Trent River.
