Wellington park wall repairs under way

Construction to stabilize the Centennial Wall in Wellington Park is now under way after being delayed due to high water levels on Lake Ontario.
Construction is expected to continue for approximately four weeks.
The contractors are to make structural repairs, including capping the footing along the entire length of the wall, carrying out corrective repairs to failed mortar joints, strengthening cracked blocks at the south-eastern portion of the wall, and backfilling and re-grading behind the wall.
The park will remain open to the public, except near the designated work zone areas.
