Wellington celebrated Canada Day in flag-waving style Friday opening with a pancake breakfast and following up with a patriotic parade featuring a Royal Canadian Mounted policeman, Odessa Mater from Cars and honourary parade marshalls, the Wellington Dukes – Central Canada Dudley Hewitt Cup winners.
The party continued all day with lunches and lawn sales, a book sale at the library, museum tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and entertainment in the gazebo. A kids zone at CML Snider School featured arm wrestling, dance contest, pony rides, and games.
