A wintry mix of rain, ice and snow overnight created tricky road conditions to start Family Day weekend throughout Prince Edward County.
All school buses were cancelled Friday, though schools are open. Conditions are expected to improve throughout the day with more flurries possible overnight. Windchill of -18 is expected change to a temperature of -2 in the morning.
The weekend forecast includes more flurries possible Saturday with wind gusts forecast at 50km, gusting to 80km. Temperature continues at about -10 until Sunday, showing a mix of sun and cloud and a high of -2. Chance of flurries.
