You can vote before election day; by mail, or this weekend’s advance polls

Voters can begin casting ballots ahead of the Sept. 20 federal election as advanced polling stations are open Friday, Sept. 10 until Monday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

People who are pre-registered to vote should have received a voter information card in the mail which states the location of your polling station and voting station on election day.

At polling stations, expect to wear your mask, use hand sanitizer stations, stay two metres apart. You can use a single-use pencil provided, or bring your own pen or pencil. There will be just one poll worker per desk, behind a plexiglass barrier.

Those who didn’t receive a card can visit elections.ca to register, or call 1-800-463-6868, or 1-800-361-8935 (TTY) for assistance.

Voters can apply by Tuesday, Sept. 14 to vote by mail. The option to sign up is also available at elections.ca
