Youth arrested for break and enter at PECI

Youth who entered Prince Edward Collegiate Institute through an unlocked window on Saturday, have been arrested.
Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment were dispatched to an alarm at PECI, 41 Barker St.t, Picton Saturday, Sept. 3 at about 1 a.m.
Officers located three youth outside of the school. The subsequent investigation revealed two had entered the school through an unlocked window then a short time later, exited by another door. No items were stolen and no damage to the property occurred.
The two youths, ages 15 and 16, from Prince Edward County, were arrested and charged with Break and Enter and are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017.
The identity of the accused parties is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and no further details will be released.
