Youth sports in Prince Edward County will get a boost this fall as the first minor Basketball Association will tip off on Sept. 29th at PECI. Three house league divisions will offer something for everyone. The Grade 2 – 4 league will feature adjustable eight-foot nets donated by Canadian Tire, while both the Grade 5 – 6 and Grade 7 – 8 leagues will be refereed by qualified high school basketball players.
The league will run for 12 weeks and will conclude before the holiday break in December.
The cost to register is $50 and this includes a jersey, team photo, and year end medals. Registration will take place at the Picton Fair or at Canadian Tire on Saturday, Sept. 18th from 9 am – 2 pm. Anyone with questions or interested in volunteering should contact league President Rob Garden @ 613-399-2482.
