97-year-old pedestrian dies following incident on County Road 3

The OPP is continuing its investigation into a fatal incident in Carrying Place.
On Tuesday, July 15 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Prince Edward OPP were dispatched to an incident between a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a pedestrian, on County Road 3, west of Weese Road.
A 97-year-old from Prince Edward County, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
County Road 3 was closed between Weese Road and Old Orchard Road for several hours to allow for an OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction. While the road has since re-opened, the investigation remains ongoing.

(1:08 a.m.): County Road 3 has fully re-opened between Old Orchard Road and Weese Road. No further details have been released
Tuesday approximately 7 p.m.: County Road 3 is closed between Old Orchard Road and Weese Road in Albury due to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
OPP ask motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
