UPDATE: Some garbage, green bins, and recycling will not be collected in some rural areas Wednesday, Jan. 7 due to delays caused by inclement weather.
Environmental E360 Solutions Ltd. will continue collection until 6 p.m. If not collected it should be put back out on your next scheduled collection day.
If your garbage is not picked up this week, you can exceed the two-bag limit next week.
This afternoon the municipality ended its significant weather event declaration and expects to continue to clear roads over the next several days.

For the third consecutive day, school bus and taxi transportation are cancelled due to poor road conditions and continued inclement weather. Schools remain open.
Overnight, the County declared a significant weather event in the municipality.
“A significant amount of freezing rain has fallen within the last several hours, making many roads and walkways throughout the municipality icy and slippery.” stated Mark Kerr, Communications and Consultation Supervisor, in a media release at sent at 3:40 a.m.
Garbage and recycling collection is underway throughout the County Wednesday, Jan. 7 but Kerr states residents are advised that collection may be delayed due to the road conditions.
The freezing rain alert ended at 8:30 a.m. but clean up remains.
During the significant weather event, the County advises residents to use extra caution as the municipality may not be able to meet its maintenance standards for roads and sidewalks due to the heavy freezing rain.
“The declaration does not change how or when the municipality performs its winter maintenance operations,” states Kerr. “However, it may take the municipality longer than usual to bring the roads back to a state of repair.”
“The safety of the public remains a priority for the municipality and every reasonable effort will always be made to meet the winter maintenance service levels.”
