Apple Blossom Festival flowers into donation for Picton Library expansion

St. John’s Anglican Church, Waupoos celebrated community this week as the congregation donated all proceeds from the spring Apple Blossom Festival at County Cider – more than $1,600 – to the Picton Library. Each year St. John’s and its circle of friends bakes and sells 60 – 100 apple pies in celebration of the blossoms and thanks to all the Picton chefs who took part in the extraordinary pie bake-off. Pictured donating the funds to the library are Expansion Committee member Elizabeth Etue, Library CEO Barbara Sweet and Louise Bazett-Jones of St. John’s Anglican Church.
