Talented teens are invited to feature their art at the public library in Picton during the annual Teen Summer Art show opening July 10.
Teens ages 13-19 are invited to submit artwork to any branch library for display in the Teen Room at the Picton Branch. This year, the show is being judged by talented local illustrator Niall Eccles. Shown above are last year’s winning artists, Sarah Renaud Wilkinson, Svenya Scherer, Ruby Paugh.
“New for this summer is the addition of a Young People’s Show for those ages 8 to 12,” says Liz Zylstra, Youth Services at the library. ” While these works will not be judged, the show will offer an opportunity for younger artists to showcase their works. For more info, e-mail teenroom@peclibrary.org” or call Liz Zylstra at 613-476-5962. Editor’s Note: Sarah Renaud Wilkinson, 15, who won the Peoples’ Choice Award in last year’s Library Teen Art Show, just got a painting accepted into this year’s Art in the County Show – now open at the Picton Town Hall, corner of Ross and King streets.
