Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith, as new provincial minister of children, community and social services, plans to meet with families with members on the autism spectrum Tuesday, at Zwick’s Park.
The location was planned as a “non-threatening, informal” setting to hear about their experiences and ask for their opinions on how to shape provincial programing.
Families are invited to enjoy their time in the park – playing, colouring, or enjoying some lunch – and Smith’s staff will bring him and members of his ministry team to them. Service providers are welcome to attend, but the focus will be on the families. The event is between held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
