The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presented the hospital foundation with $25,000 during its annual general meeting Wednesday, May 19. Don Stanton, president of the Foundation was on hand to accept the cheque from auxiliary president, Susan Law.
“It is with sincere appreciation that the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors says thank you to the auxiliary volunteers who assist us in making Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital a better place for our patients and staff,” said Stanton. “Auxiliary volunteers help when asked, and more importantly, even when they’re not. The foundation appreciates the ongoing financial support of the auxiliary to assist us in purchasing medical equipment and we applaud all the great work you have done in the past and continue to do.”
To date, the hard work of the auxiliary has raised more than 1.7 million dollars for the hospital.
“We know that no-one who volunteers does so for recognition or praise, but it is important that your contribution to our hospital is recognized and praised,” said Stanton. “It is a real pleasure to have Sue Law representing the auxiliary on our board. Sue is a great asset to our foundation and her tireless efforts both with the auxiliary and the foundation are genuinely valued. The foundation would like to thank all the auxiliary volunteers for the work you do. Thank you for your time and your energy, your kindness and your generosity. “
