The Canadian Coast Guard ice breaker the Griffon breaking a path up the reach toward the ESSROC plant. The ship provides icebreaking services along the eastern Lake Ontario and upriver along the St. Lawrence River to Montreal. With the support of the CCG Icebreaking Program, most Canadian ports are open for business year-round.
