The Marysburgh Mummers seek actors for their spring musical The Boy Friend and will host auditions Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 7 – 9 pm at Mt. Tabor Community Playhouse, Milford.
“New faces welcome,” says director Carol Rutledge. “No previous experience necessary. Backstage help needed too!”
The Boy Friend takes place during the roaring 20s on the Riviera at the Villa Caprice at Madame Dubonnet’s Finishing School for Young Ladies. Polly, an English heiress, falls in love with Tony, a lowly delivery boy but she pretends to be only a secretary. Their respective parents arrive and complicate the story even more. Lots of laughs, twists, and turns!
