Wellington hosts Christmas in the Village

Wellington welcomed Santa Claus with Christmas in the Village celebrations Saturday.
Santa Claus was escorted by the Wellington Dukes during the parade and afterward in the Town Hall as he greeted children and handed out giant candy canes.
While children awaited his arrival they decorated gingerbread cookies and created cards and tree ornaments.
Faye Luftman hosted story time and the CML Parents’ Council sold baked goods and craft items. A bake sale and tea  was also held in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall.
A free skate-with-Santa was held at the arena, with donations collected for the Storehouse Food bank.

Picton BIA executive director Roni Summers Wickens CHEERS! Deb and Doug Seeley of Seeley’s Clothing and Accessories in downtown Picton for offering free hot chocolate to patrons and parade goers as part of the Picton Santa Claus Parade Celebrations.

Christmas in the County promises to be fun, entertaining and magical.
Look for free festive fun on Thursday evenings -including hay rides, caroling and much more – presented by the Picton Business Improvement Association. Participating DBIA merchants are decorating their windows to portray Santa’s Workshop and the festive exhibit ‘The Gift of Life’ art show continues at the Arts on Main Gallery.
