Collision claims life of 14-year-old

Prince Edward County OPP is investigating a collision involving an SUV and a dirt bike that resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy.
On Oct. 29 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a collision on Danforth Road, in Prince Edward County.
Police report their initial investigation indicates that an eastbound SUV collided with a dirt bike at the intersection of Danforth Road and Millennium Trail. A 14-year-old male from Prince Edward County was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV was uninjured, and no charges have been laid.
The road was closed until approximately 2:30 a.m. while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist investigated the scene.
