Construction of Glendon Green walking path begins

Construction of a walking path at Glendon Green boat launch over the next two weeks means the parking area located immediately next to the launch will be inaccessible due to heavy equipment.
The boat launch itself will remain open and parking along the access road into the launch will remain available. The launch is off County Road 18 at the southwest end of East Lake.
The County has secured an agreement with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) to develop a walking path on MECP-owned property located next to the Glendon Green boat launch. The construction of the path will be completed along with additional improvements planned for the site identified by the Athol Recreation Committee and County staff.
