County collects truckloads of electronic waste

Picton Fire Fighters Association and Prince Edward Minor Hockey Association volunteers filled transport trucks with televisions and assorted electronics last Sunday at the Picton Home Hardware parking lot, under the watchful eye of Linda Ryan, Prince Edward County’s Waste Management Supervisor. This third free TV and electronics collection event, she notes, was greeted with a line-up of vehicles at 9 a.m. and continued with a steady flow of County residents participating to keep electronics out of landfills.
