County crews removing Main Street snow banks

County workers were busy removing snowbanks along Bloomfield Main Street Wednesday night. Wellington was also scheduled for Wednesday evening, while roadside snow removal was held in Picton overnight Tuesday.

Getting around these downtown cores should remain relatively easy despite some snow forecast for Thursday and over the weekend.

A wind chill of -20 is expected to blow through Thursday morning, with about 2-5 cm of snow; then slowly turning warmer to a high of 2 – but with a risk of freezing drizzle in the afternoon. Environment Canada calls for a return to local blowing snow overnight with gusts (update up to 80 km/h) and a return to a wind chill of -14.

The weekend is forecast to bring a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of snow – especially in the evening and overnight Saturday. High -2, low -12.
