COVID-19 update records another death

MARCH 28: Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health is showing one more death in the region, related to the COVID-19 virus – now 114 deaths over the three-years of the pandemic.

The Public Health weekly report records 65 new, and 75 active high-risk setting cases over the past week. There are 12 people in hospital, three require intensive care.

There are now three outbreaks, one continuing from Belleville and two new in Centre Hastings.

MARCH 21: Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is showing 73 new, and 86 active high-risk setting COVID-19 cases over the past week.

There are 12 people in hospital related to the virus, three require intensive care. Outbreaks have been declared over, except one at a retirement residence in Belleville.

A COVID-19 vaccination clinic is set for the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street, Picton) on Tuesday, March 28 from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome to all people over the age of six months.

MARCH 14: Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is showing 44 new, and 55 active high-risk setting COVID-19 cases.

There are 12 people in the region’s hospitals, related to the virus. Three people require intensive care.

Three outbreaks continue, at a congregate living facility, retirement home and long-term care home, all in Belleville.

MARCH 7: Ahead of the March 11 three-year anniversary of the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hastings Prince Edward Counties Public Health (HPEPH) has attributed another death, now 113 total, to the virus.

The HPEPH dashboard  states 12 people are in hospital, related to COVID-19; three require intensive care.

It reports 67 new, and 87 active high-risk setting cases. There are two outbreaks in high-risk settings ongoing – at Arabella Retirement and Belmont long term care.
